The biggest month yet — and when every roll chain is viewed as one complete trade, every single position closed profitable.
May was the most active and most profitable month since I started publishing these recaps. 25 closed positions across 18 tickers, a net gain of $7,041, and the 2026 running total now sits at $14,979.
A note on presentation: several positions this month are the final close of roll chains that started in prior months. The P&L column shows only what was booked in May — but the full chain net is shown alongside so you can see the complete picture. Every chain, viewed end-to-end, closed profitable. True win rate: 100%.
QCOM appeared three times in May across different entry dates, generating a combined +$2,068. The first diagonal (5/8, 3 days) returned +$1,041 — the largest single position of the month. The second (5/11, 11 days) added +$526. The third (5/26, 3 days) closed at +$501. All three were LEAP + short call diagonals structured to capture QCOM's move while the short call reduced cost basis.
Average hold time dropped again — from 21 days in Q1, to 15 days in April, to just 11 days in May. CRCL, ORCL, IBM, and RDDT were all opened and closed within 1–2 days. The diagonal structure with high-IV names continues to enable fast, decisive exits at target.

Three positions are carrying into June: OKLO $90 Call (rolled to Jun), HOOD $85 Put (rolled to Jun 12), and ACHR $7 Call (rolled to Jun 5). All collecting premium while the underlying theses continue. Their final P&L will appear in the June recap.
Through May, 61 closed positions and a cumulative net P&L of +$14,979. Every roll chain viewed end-to-end has closed profitable. The diagonal spread structure — long LEAP paired with rotating short calls — continues to be the primary driver, with QCOM, CRCL, ORCL, and CRWV all contributing strong multi-position runs in May.
Questions on any setup — which LEAP strike to pick, when to roll vs. close, or how I size positions — drop them in the comments. I read and reply to everything.
