A quieter month with fewer trades, but every position closed green and the 2026 running total moves past $23,000.
July was the lightest month of the year by activity: 4 closed positions and a net gain of $2,189. Every position closed profitable, and the 2026 running total now stands at $23,689 across 82 closed positions.
Compared with May and June, there were far fewer fresh diagonals. Most of July's profit came from short premium that was sold in June and finished in July, plus one diagonal on MRVL.
AAOI $240 Call (+$785). A short call sold on 6/16 that expired worthless on 7/17, so the full premium was kept. It was the largest single winner of the month.
QCOM $245 Call (+$599). A short call sold on 6/25 and bought back on 7/10 for $7, keeping about 99% of the premium in 15 days.
MRVL diagonal (+$710). The one new diagonal that opened and closed within July: opened 7/2, closed 7/6. The long Jan $185 LEAP gained +$1,261, and the short Jul 31 $270 call lost -$551 as MRVL moved up. Net +$710 in 4 days.
